P1.4-M marijuana destroyed in Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police destroyed marijuana worth P1.4 million and three persons were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Benguet from July 2 to 8. The Benguet Police Provincial Office said four clandestine marijuana plantations with a total of 7,150 fully grown marijuana plants and a standard drug price of P1.4 million were discovered in the municipalities of Bakun and Kibungan, Benguet and burned after documentation. The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Operations Division (ROD) said the suspects were arrested by the Benguet PPO for possession of a total of 0.4 grams of shabu with an overall SDP of P2,720. Suspects face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
