3 dead as mini-truck crashes into tricycle, house in Quezon

DOLORES, Quezon – Three persons were killed and two were injured when a mini-truck crashed into a tricycle and a house on Monday morning, July 10, in Barangay Santa Lucia here. Police identified the victims as Dondon Corona, mini-truck driver, and Thomas and Jerrylyn Villanueva. Police Chief Master Sgt. Marcelino Enobal, officer-on-case, said the mini-truck loaded with cement and hollow blocks accidentally crashed into the tricycle driven by William Enrique and then slammed into the house of the Villanuevas. Enrique was injured along with a man named Lito Vergara. Victims were taken to the hospital for treatment by the Bureau of Fire Protection and the local disaster management office. The fatalities died on the spot, police said.
