Sisi Rondina powers Choco Mucho in sweep against Foton

Sisi Rondina powered Choco Mucho to continue its hot start after another sweep in Pool B, this time against the returning Foton, 25-19-25-19, 25-14, in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City. The Flying Titans used strong finishing kicks at the end of each set to improve 2-0 in the standings.

With the win, Choco Mucho holds the solo lead in its designated pool as F2 Logistics and Cignal tussle at press time. Rondina showed that her indoor game is just as impressive as her form in the sand after delivering a team-high 19 points on 15 attacks, three blocks and an ace. Meanwhile, Cherry Nunag and Des Cheng had 12 and 10 points, respectively. The Tornadoes briefly held a slim advantage of 17-16 over the Flying Titans in the second set, but Choco Mucho was quick to recover after putting the finishing touches with a 9-2 run. Now up two sets to none, the Flying Titans were relentless from there on as they handed the Tornadoes their second straight loss. Shaya Adorador was the lone bright spot for Foton with 10 points off 10 kills.
