Partly cloudy weather with possible rain showers across PH
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, July 1 said the entire country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather with a possibility of rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
The southwest monsoon or “habagat” continues to affect the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, but its effect is weaker compared to the previous days.
The entire archipelago may experience “fair” weather due to partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but there may still be isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that severe thunderstorms may cause landslides or flash floods, particularly in vulnerable areas.
Meanwhile, weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said PAGASA does not expect a low pressure area to develop into a tropical cyclone and affect the country in the coming days.
Based on its climatological records, PAGASA predicts three to four tropical cyclones that may form or enter the country’s area of responsibility in July.
Some of these cyclones may make landfall over Luzon or enhance the habagat.
