Celebs praise Raffy Tulfo after lecturing police chief relating to Awra's case

Online users praised Senator Raffy Tulfo after he corrected the Chief of Police of Makati City who seemingly made light of the issue surrounding the commotion that led to the arrest of actor Awra Briguela. In a recent interview, Police Colonel Edward Cutiyog told Raffy how it all started with Awra asking the complainant Mark Christian Ravana to remove his shirt. Raffy inquired, “Bakit po magiging agresibo si Awra sa isang lalaki na i-request niya na mag-hubad? Bakit niya gagawin ‘yun?” The policeman replied: “Eh alam mo naman, si Awra is gay, gusto niya makita ‘yung magandang katawan…” Raffy immediately corrected the latter, stressing: "Ay hindi Sir, mali ka diyan Sir. Wag ganun. Palibhasa'y gay, gustong makita agad ang katawan ng isang lalaki? Siguro po, merong pinagmulan yung kaguluhan." A clip of the conversation immediately trended online. Among those who reacted is vlogger Tita Krissy Achino who wrote: "WTF?!!! FOR REAL??? THAT’S HOW U SEE US??? HAPPY FCKING PRIDE T*NG*NA!!! (cursing face emojis) #IStandWithAwra." TV host Bianca Gonzalez, meanwhile, thanked Raffy. She wrote: "Salamat Sen. Tulfo for correcting the backward and harmful thinking and reasoning. Malaking bagay lalo't maraming kalalakihan ang nakikinig sa iyo, Sir."
