Woman strangled to death by jealous ex-lover in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A woman was allegedly strangled to death by her jealous ex-live-in partner in Barangay Arena Blanco here on Thursday, June 8. Police Lt. Col. Paul Andrew Cortes, Zamboanga City police public information officer, identified the victim as Roselma Tumahuggu. The suspect, Randy D. Climaco, was arrested in Barangay Mercedes, this city, during a police follow-up operation. Neighbors saw Tumahuggu’s bruised body in the bushes after they heard the victim’s daughter crying beside her mother’s corpse. Police are investigating a report that Tumahuggu’s daughter witnessed the suspect choke her until she died. Climaco is facing murder charges.
