Simone Bellotti to lead Bally Design Studio

Simone's first collection for the brand will be presented during a fashion show at Milan Fashion Week in September.

Swiss luxury brand Bally announces that the direction of the Bally Design Studio has been entrusted to design director Simone Bellotti, who joined the company in October 2022 after a 16-year tenure at Gucci. Simone Bellotti (Photo by Carlotta Manaigo)
Simone, whose career in addition to Gucci also includes senior design positions at  Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and Gianfranco Ferré, brings with him a deep understanding of both ready-to-wear tailoring and accessories craftsmanship. “I am honored to announce Simone Bellotti’s leadership for the Bally design studio,” Nicolas Girotto, CEO of Bally, stated. “Having already worked alongside the team during the past nine months, Simone will continue to interpret and rejuvenate our signature codes in the context of today. Simone’s appointment to lead the Bally Design Studio further reinforces the renewed focus on the brand’s core values of craftsmanship, innovation, and Swiss luxury. Bellotti’s first collection for the brand will be presented during a fashion show at Milan Fashion Week in September. Recently, Manila-born, California-based fashion designer [Rhuigi Villaseñor left Bally](https://mb.com.ph/2023/5/17/rhuigi-villasenor-steps-down-as-creative-director-at-bally) after becoming its creative director in 2022. According to reports, JAB Holding Company, the firm behind the Swiss luxury label, and the Filipino designer have come to a “joint and mutual decision” to end their collaboration.
