* A report from the Antipolo City Police said the body parts belonged to a woman identified as Lanie Mateo, who was previously detained at the said police station for an alleged illegal drugs case. According to police, the severed head, arms, and legs of the victim were found by scavengers around 11:50 a.m. inside a black trash bag that was dumped under a bridge along NHA Avenue in Brgy. Dela Paz. The police said that the victim was positively identified by her aunt, Leoniza Mateo, through a tattoo on her body. The victim was last seen alive around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, when she asked her unidentified live-in partner to drop her off to Cogeo Gate 2 since she would meet up with a certain “Ate”. “Until then, the victim did not return home,” police said. The police conducted a record check which showed that the victim had been detained at the Antipolo City Police Station along with her live-in partner for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
