P1.4-M shabu seized in Baguio buy-bust

BAGUIO CITY – Authorities seized suspected shabu worth P1.4 million from three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Irisan here on Wednesday, June 7. The suspects were identified as Sherwin Fernandez, Maria Veronica Torio, and Vincent Cuyopan. They yielded a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu valued at P34,000, a knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing shabu weighing 87 grams worth P591,600, two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu weighing three grams with an estimated value of P20,400, and a blue improvised glass tooter containing 120 milliliters of liquid meth valued at P751,536. Suspects also yielded pieces of genuine P1,000 bills, 14 P1,000 boodle money, and a digital weighing scale. They face drug-related charges. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera and Baguio City Police Office conducted the operation.
