Man wanted for allegedly raping stepdaughter nabbed in Tanauan City


TANAUAN City, Batangas – A construction worker who was charged with rape by his stepdaughter was apprehended in a police manhunt operation on Thursday morning, June 8, in this city.

The Tanauan City police, in their report to Batangas police provincial director Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez, identified the suspect as Michael Siman, 39, a resident of Tanauan City.

He was arrested based on a warrant of arrest for the crime of rape issued on May 30, 2023, by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 6, Tanauan City, with no recommended bail.

He was arrested at around 10:50 a.m.

According to the Batangas Provincial Police Office (BPPO), Siman is the most wanted person on the regional level.

He was charged by his stepdaughter whom he allegedly raped on March 20, 2023, in Tanauan City.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the Tanauan CPS.

"The Batangas PNP will continue to carry out the operation and we will not stop until we catch the most wanted so that they can be held accountable to the law to give justice to the victims," said De Chavez.
