The Las Piñas city government announced that the city’s fines and penalties for traffic violations will be updated effective Monday, June 19.
According to the city's Public Information Office (PIO), the update of fines and penalties for traffic violations will be done, pursuant to the new unified traffic management system mandating a single ticketing system within Metro Manila.
The unified approach aims to streamline traffic enforcement and ensure consistency in penalties throughout the region.
The city government told motorists that traffic rules and regulations are in place to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar urged motorists and pedestrians to cooperate and abide by the guidelines to maintain order and promote a secure environment.
Aguilar said violators may redeem their Ordinance Violation Receipt at the Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO) located at J. Aguilar Ave. Casmiro within 10 working days upon issuance of the ticket.
Failure to redeem their OVR will incur a five percent penalty daily.
The mayor added that online payments remain unavailable because the TPMO is still in the process of coordinating with their affiliate online payment channels.
