University of Perpetual Help System Dalta secured the top spot in the NCAA bracket of the FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup after pulling an upset over Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 81-68, on Friday, June 10, in San Juan.

The Knights ended the first half with a three-point lead but the Altas shifted the momentum with a 14-0 burst midway in the third to turn the tables around and keep a seven-point advantage entering the final frame. Steve Nash Enriquez and J.K Figueroa both had 11 points for the Bulldogs who improved to 7-2 at third spot while Mouhamed Faty and Rojan Montemayor had 14 points apiece to anchor FEU which slid to 5-4 at fourth place. Theo Pabico and Agem Miranda conspired on the offensive end as Jose Rizal University kept Arellano University winless with a 78-65 victory. Pabico notched 14 points while Miranda added 12 points and eight rebounds to extend the Bombers' winning streak to four. In the final game, Ateneo defeated St. Clare College, 57-52.
