45 PRO-13 officers enhance skills in basic investigation


CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – Forty-five police commissioned officers from the Police Regional Office-13 (PRO-13) are participating in a training to enhance their investigative skills.

A colonel, three lieutenant colonels, two police majors, 22 police captains, and 17 police lieutenants are undergoing the 45-day
Investigation Officers Basic Course (IOBC) that started on June 7.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said the competency training would equip PCOs with knowledge, skills, and tools to conduct thorough investigations and build airtight cases.

“This IOBC is very vital to our police officers in building up airtight cases,” Labra said.

Police Maj. Gen. Eliseo DC Cruz, Director for Investigation and Detective Management chief, was the guest of honor and speaker at the opening ceremony at the PRO-13 Multi-Purpose Hall here.

The Surigao del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) has 11 participants, Surigao del Norte PPO, nine; Agusan del Sur PPO, eight; Regional Mobile Force Battalion-13 and national support units, four each; Agusan del Norte PPO and Butuan City Police Office with three each; regional headquarters, two, and Dinagat Islands PPO, one.

“This course is a testament to our unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of excellence within our ranks,” Cruz said.

“I expect all of you to put your heart and mind into this training because the PNP has invested all needed resources for its success,” he added.
