The Southern Police District (SPD) announced that two high-profile criminals were arrested in separate operations by the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on June 8 in Las Piñas and Parañaque cities.
Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, SPD director, identified the arrested suspects
as Henry Mendoza, 44, and Danilo Dayzin alias "Bunso," 38.
Mendoza was served a warrant of arrest for three counts of rape, issued by Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 202 with no bail recommended.
Kraft said that Las Piñas police arrested and later detained Mendoza at the station's custodial facility on Thursday at around 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Dayzin was wanted for frustrated murder, with a warrant of arrest issued to him by Judge Leilani Marie Dacanay-Grimares of RTC Branch 294, with a recommended bail of P200,000.
Dayzin was arrested at around 10:00 a.m. on Rodriguez Avenue in Barangay La Huerta, Parañaque City. He is in the custody of Parañaque police, added the SPD chief.
