Tricycle driver dies in head-on collision in Quezon

CANDELARIA, Quezon – A 58-year-old tricycle driver died in a head-on collision with another tricycle on the Candelaria-San Juan Road in Barangay Malabanban Sur, this town, on Wednesday, June 7. The fatality was identified as Romulo Dimalibot, of Barangay Santa Catalina, here. Police said the driver of the other tricycle, Arman Ralado, 26, a resident of Barangay Malabanban Sur, here, and his passenger, Romeo Briones, 56, a laborer from Barangay Masin Norte, this town, sustained injuries and were taken to the Candelaria District Hospital. Dimalibot was headed towards the town proper while Ralado was driving Briones to San Juan, Batangas when they figured in the collision at about 7 p.m. Ralado faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, physical injury, and damage to property because of the incident.
