Stinking violation: 3 men nabbed for dumping septic waste in Cavite creek

CAVITE – Authorities arrested three men for dumping human waste in a creek in Barangay Puting Kahoy, Silang, on Wednesday, June 7. Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as April C. Estrelles, Marlon N. Alegria, and Abner Flores Baal Jr. Initial investigation by Silang Municipal Police Station (MPS) showed the suspects, employed by a septic tank siphoning service provider, were assigned to collect waste inside a university compound. Instead of properly disposing of the collected waste, however, the suspects reportedly dumped it in a creek along Sta. Rosa-Silang-Tagaytay Road. The compound’s on-duty security guard caught the suspects in the act and reported the incident to barangay officials and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office. The suspects are now under the custody of Silang MPS and are facing charges for violating the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.
