PRO-13 receives collapsible tents for emergencies


CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 has received collapsible tents worth P695,600 that will serve as incident or medical command posts for various police units in the Caraga region.

The eight collapsible tents, part of the PNP modernization program, were turned over to the PRO-13 on Monday, June 5.

The collapsible tents will be distributed to the Regional Medical and Dental Unit-13, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 13, Butuan City Police Office, Agusan del Norte Provincial Police Office (PPO), Agusan del Sur PPO, Surigao del Norte PPO, Surigao del Sur PPO, and Dinagat Islands PPO.

“These logistical resources play a crucial role in providing essential medical care or operational support, particularly in emergency situations,” PRO-13  Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II said.

He added that the men and women of PRO-13 are grateful to chief PNP Police Gen. Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. for his relentless support to the police force.

Recently, the central command of the PNP also extended logistical equipment to the PRO-13 in its effort to strengthen the region’s police force’s capabilities to fight all forms of criminalities.

The PRO-13 received 26 brand-new motorcycles (Honda XR 150L), 400 5.56mm Galil basic assault rifles, and 50 Hytera digital handheld radios from the Capability Enhancement Program (CEP).

These assets were worth P27,842,700.

“PRO-13 is grateful to the PNP leadership for these additional mobility, firepower, and communication assets which are expected to boost our operational capability and performance of mandated tasks,” Labra said, adding, “These logistical resources will increase both the efficiency and confidence of the troops in the frontline services.”
