K-pop group Stray Kids' '5-Star' sells more than 4 M copies; tops tops weekly album chart

K-pop boy band Stray Kids’ third studio album “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” has sold more than four million copies to date and topped the weekly chart in South Korea.  Stray Kids released “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” on June 2 and sold 2.38 million copies on the first day of release, based on data from Hanteo Chart.  Stray Kids (Twitter)
As of June 7 or in six days, “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” has sold 4,124,849 copies compared to 2,163,349 copies sold by their previous album “Maxident” in the first week of release.  The total first-week sales for “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” will be announced on June 9.  The first-day sales for “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” ranked third among the highest first-day sales on Hanteo Chart after Seventeen’s “FML,” which garnered 3.99 million copies and BTS’ “Map of the Soul: 7,” which had 2.65 million copies.  “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” topped Hanteo’s weekly physical album chart for May 29 to June 4 with 2.77 million copies sold or equivalent to a physical record index score of 3.13 million.  Here is the weekly physical album chart on Hanteo Chart for May 29 to June 4 based on the physical record index score, which incorporates the album price with the total copies sold: 1\.
