CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga – Twenty members of a farmer’s group withdrew their support to the New People’s Army on Tuesday, June 6.
The Police Regional Office-3 said the intensified intelligence-driven operation of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3 led by acting force commander Police Lt. Col. Jay C. Dimaandal resulted in the withdrawal of support of 20 members of the Liga ng Manggagawang Bukid (LMB) in Nueva Ecija.
They pledged allegiance to the government in a ceremony in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, an NPA rebel surrendered to the police in Pampanga.
“Ka Rambo” of the Kilusang Larangan Guerilla (KLG) yielded to the 1st Pampanga Provincial Mobile Force Company in Barangay Hacienda Dolores, Porac.
He turned over a caliber .45 pistol, seven live ammo, and a M49A2 60mm mortar high explosive.
