In a Facebook post on Tuesday night, June 6, the Vice President shared about her visit to Dipolog City where she met with different groups that were with her during the campaign season.
During their meeting, Duterte shared about the OVP’s various programs, such as the Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day, Peace 911, PagbaBAGo Campaign: A Million Learners and Trees, the establishment of the OVP Disaster Operations Center, and the satellite and extension offices across the country.
This, she said, would expand the reach of her office’s medical and burial assistance.
“Ikinampanya din natin sa mga parallel groups na suportahan ang mga programa ng Department of Education (DepEd) upang mas mapalakas pa natin ang kalidad ng edukasyon at matugunan ang mga problema sa loob ng mga paaralan (We also campaigned to the parallel groups to support the programs of the DepEd to strengthen the quality of education and respond to the programs in schools),” the official wrote.
The Vice President also shared photos of the meeting, where she was seen with supporters.
Duterte also took time to thank the support organizations, including the Marcos Sara Duterte Alliance (MASADA) Region IX, Ituloy ang Pagbabago Movement, Sara ang Solusyon Movement(SSM), Kilusang Pagbabago, Maldita Dipolog Chapter, Federation of Muslim Association, ZANECO Group, and other groups from the municipalities of Liloy, Katipunan, Roxas, and Sibuco.
She expressed gratitude to them for their “taos-pusong suporta at hangarin na patuloy na mahalin ang Pilipinas (wholehearted support and desire to continue loving the Philippines).”
“Hinikayat ko rin sila na ipagbigay-alam sa kanilang mga komunidad ang tungkol sa OVP Satellite Office sa Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City para ma-access ang Medical at Burial Assistance, na ilan lamang sa mga serbisyo ng ating opisina para sa ating mga kababayan (I also encouraged them to share with their communities about the OVP Satellite Office in Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City to access the medical and burial assistance, which are just a few of the services of our office to our fellowmen),” Duterte said.
The Vice President, who is also the country’s education chief, likewise spent time with Dipolog City Mayor Darel Uy and other local officials of Zamboanga del Norte to visit the DepEd Zamboanga del Norte Schools Division Office and discuss possibilities of cooperation between the OVP and the Zamboanga del Norte local government unit for the implementation of different projects.
