QC cops nab man involved in stabbing incident

By HANNAH NICOL Police arrested a man who stabbed and wounded a neighbor in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City on Tuesday, June 6. The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Payatas Bagong Silangan Station (PS 13) identified the suspect as Christopher Abiog, 30, of Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, Police said the victim, Prodencio Deguerio, also a resident of Barangay Payatas, had a heated argument in front of a house at around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday. At the peak of their argument, the victim reportedly hit the suspect with a shovel. The suspect then pulled out a  knife and stabbed the victim several times before he escaped on foot. Witness Maria Fel Deguerio immediately reported the incident to PS 13 patrollers who responded and arrested the suspect in the area. Abiog will be charged with attempted homicide charges before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, police said.
