By Jun Ramirez and Jun Ramirez
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has committed to assist employers in getting the Tax Identification Number (TIN) of their employees using the agency's Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).
TIN is an important requirement being asked by employers from their newly-hired workers and the BIR wants to facilitate it through the conduct of a webinar on June 20.
The webinar, scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. aims to equip employers with crucial information about their responsibility to obtain TINs for their new employes.
During the webinar, the BIR will provide a demonstration on how employers can conveniently acquire TINs using ORUS.
It will also delve into the features and functionalities of the online platform, in addition to discussing BIR policies pertaining to TIN issuance and validity.
Participants will receive updates on tax compliance requirements related to registration as well.
Employers and their representatives attending the online seminar will have the opportunity to address their concerns and seek clarifications from the resource speakers.
To join the webinar, interested individuals can register through the provided QR code. The necessary details and Zoom link will be sent to the participants' registered email addresses.
As slots for the webinar are limited, employers who are unable to participate via Zoom are encouraged to tune in to the event through the BIR's official Facebook page at [https://www.facebook.com/birgovph](https://www.facebook.com/birgovph).
