207,000 tourists visit Boracay in May

ILOILO CITY – More than 207,000 tourists visited world-famous Boracay Island in May.
SAND castle at world-famous Boracay Island in Malay town, Aklan province.  (Malay Boracay Tourism Office) The Malay Tourism Office said 207,512 tourists arrived in Boracay last month, 6,000 more than the same period last year with 201,368. Domestic tourists comprised most of the arrivals in May with 168,153, 25,000 fewer than the same month last year with 193,298. More than 36,000 foreign tourists visited Boracay last month, 32,000 more than the same month in 2022. There were 2,867 Overseas Filipino worker visitors in Boracay last month but this was down than May 2022 with 3,882.
