29 wanted persons nabbed in week-long manhunt operation in Cordillera
LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Twenty-nine individuals wanted by law were arrested by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera from May 28 to June 3.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Baguio City Police Office made the most arrests with 12 wanted persons, followed by the Benguet PPO with eight arrests, Ifugao PPO with four arrests, Kalinga PPO with three arrests, and Mt. Province PPO and Abra PPO with one arrest each.
Of the arrested personalities, three individuals were most wanted persons, including two in the municipal level and one in the city level.
As a result of the intensified police presence, 62 municipalities in the different provinces of the region and four police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PROCOR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in three municipalities in Apayao, nine towns each in Benguet and Ifugao, seven in Mountain Province, and all of the municipalities in the provinces of Kalinga and Abra.
The City Police Stations of Naguilian (PS1), Aurora Hill (PS6), Abanao (PS7), and Irisan (PS9) also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
