Miss Universe 2022 R’bonney Gabriel graces Philippine Independence Parade in New York wearing Filipino-made fashions

Here's where the Filipino-American beauty queen got her Filipiniana top and bag,

Last May, Miss Universe 2022 R’bonney Gabriel made a return to the Philippines to celebrate the 2023 edition of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. During her stay, she got to know Filipino beauty queens, do some charity work, and learn more about Filipino culture and fashion. And it looks like her love for local style continues.

Ahead of the 125th Philippine Independence Anniversary, the Filipino-American beauty queen bonded with the Filipino community in New York as she participated in the Filipino Day Parade, led by the Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. The event aims to spotlight the Philippines’ “freedom, resilience, and a proud history.”

“I am so thankful to be here as a Filipina-American and to see so many Filipinos come out,” she said during the event.

“]I am] honored to be a part of the largest gathering of Filipinos in America! Love it,” she added through a comment.

During the parade, R’bonney was spotted wearing a Filipiniana top with delicate embroidery and billowing sleeves from Kultura. She paired it with black flare trousers and solihiya t'nalak book tote bag by Filipino designer Jearson Demavivas. Completing the look was her stunning Force for Good crown.

This is not the first time R’bonney is seen wearing Filipino style. As a fashion designer, she has presented many Philippine terno creations through her social media platforms.
