Marikina LGU to hold job fair on Independence Day

The Marikina City local government will hold a job fair for Marikeño jobseekers in commemoration of “Independence Day” on Monday, June 12. The job fair will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at SM City Marikina, in partnership with the Office of District 1 Representative Marjorie Ann “Maan” Teodoro and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Some 30 foreign and local companies will be accomodating jobseekers during the fair. These include Ace Hardware, Advance Credit, Nursery Care Corporation, Ymage Trading and Construction Corporation, JAC Liner, KC Wonderland, Star Appliance (SM Appliance), Sports Central, Top Derma Innovations, Conqueror (Rusty Lopez), Advance Food Concept, Sandford Marketing Corporation (SaveMore Pasig), Foundever (Sitel Phils), Food Asia, Homeworld Shopping Corporation, BDO, CMG Retail Incorporated (Celine), Super Value (SM Super Market), SM Super Malls, Dames International, Servicio Filipino, Prime Service Alliance, and Strategic and Advance Marketing Service Corporation (SAMSC). National government agencies such as PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, Social Security System (SSS), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and DOLE will also offer job opportunities in the fair. Applicants who can participate in the fair must be 18 years old or above and either a high school or college-level graduate. They are advised to bring around ten copies of their resume or biodata in order for them to completely utilize the opportunity of submitting documents to multiple companies. Applicants are urged to wear proper attire (casual or semi-formal clothing) during the event.
