Homeless man found dead in Silang, Cavite

CAVITE – A homeless man yet to be identified was found dead on a road in the municipality of Silang on Sunday, June 4. Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) says Silang Municipal Police Station (MPS) got a call from roving barangay officials who found the body near a footbridge in Barangay Biga 1, where he usually sleeps. According to residents, the man had been seen wandering around Silang Town proper, asking people for money to buy food. After checking the victim’s body, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office’s medical team concluded that the man died of natural causes. In addition, authorities found no signs of foul play that called for forensic examination. The unidentified man was brought to a funeral service provider in Barangay Tubuan 2.
