Bullet Jalosjos on TVJ leaving TAPE: 'It was bound to happen'

"I knew it was bound to happen because of the treatment that they were already giving us."

This is what Seth Frederick "Bullet" P. Jalosjos,Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE, Inc.) finance director, said in an interview with PEP relating to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon's decision to cut ties with them.

"It really didn't look like they wanted to work with the new management. They made it clear vocally, (in) body language. Alam na namin talaga na there's no way (they would stay)," he added.

The son of TAPE Chairman Romeo G. Jalosjos Sr., cited as example Tito's reaction following his appearance on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda."

Bullet reiterated he conducted that interview sans malice, reiterating how he even praised the three there.

"The only reason why I did the interview - which was authorized by the board and the chairman - was because there was a lot of uncertainty, a lot of people were already questioning (what was happening) and we were scared because the advertisers were the ones who are questioning, now that's number one."

He also wanted to ensure that all those involved, including GMA are in "good relations."

"I think it's our duty as a board, as a company to show publicly na we're all getting along, that everything is fine, you know, so we can continue the business. Sadly the reaction was different, medyo nagulat po ako sa reactions."

Bullet related he didn't understand where Tito was coming from when he expressed disappointment over his interview.

"I didn't expect it, akala ko nga ang reaction would be: 'Okay naman pala. Let's continue, we're good.' And it was the opposite. He came out and did the interview and said it was contrary, lahat ng sinabi ko, as in all. Up to now, hindi pa rin namin maintindihan. And I'd like sana to ask him, Tito Sen, ano po talaga yung puno't dulo? What was it that they want us to do? Cause we didn't get it," he said.

"Na mawala kami? Did you just want tuloy-tuloy pa rin? Cause after all the interviews hindi pa rin clear why you guys left, why iiwanan niyo yung something that you had for the 44 years, for what? Na insulto ba kayo sa amin? Wala naman kaming nasabi siguro."

He then explained the statement about the three being "retained."

Bullet reiterated he was just answering a question when he said that.

"If you go back to the interview, it was asked to me. How do I answer that type of question? So obviously it's either yes or no... It's not like I blurted it out... sino naman ako to say that," he stressed.

Bullet believes things were taken out of context.

"I think he read it wrong. When someone asks me that question, obviously I'm gonna have to answer. And he somehow twisted it in to make it look like na ganun kayabang, ire-retain namin."

Bullet pointed out, "So I want to go back and ask him ano po talaga yung puno't dulo and what was it that you wanted us to do to maybe possibly change their mind in leaving. Like I said, even a while ago, ang akin, it seemed like it was done from the very start."

Recall that after TVJ's departure, the other hosts also filed their respective resignation papers.
