700 Caloocan residents hired on-the-spot in 3 Mega Job Fairs
Over 700 Caloocan City residents were hired on-the-spot in three Mega Job Fairs held in the city last May, the local government announced on Monday, June 5.
The Mega Job Fairs were held in the City last May 1, 12, and 31 to provide employment opportunities from different industries to job-seeking city residents.
Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan congratulated the hired jobseekers and urged the public to seize such opportunities provided by the local government.
“Panawagan natin sa ating mga kababayan, sulitin ang mga pagkakataong tulad nito upang mas maging maginhawa ang pamumuhay natin at ng ating pamilya. Sa mga na hired on-the-spot, congratulations po sa inyong lahat! (We urge our fellow residents to seize opportunities like these to improve our lives and our families. Congratulations to those who were hired on-the-spot),” the mayor said.
Malapitan said that on Independence Day, June 12, a “Kalayaan Job Fair” will be held at SM City Grand Central for city residents who are looking for jobs.
Jobseekers should bring their resume, valid identification cards, and vaccination cards.
Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Officer-in-Charge Ms. Violeta Gonzales said they are doing their best to encourage more companies to join their recruitment and job fair activities.
The city government said that the mayor remains focused on his goal of improving the citizens' quality of life through continuous generation of jobs, livelihoods, and opportunities, as well as honing their capabilities through free training.
