2 hurt in QC residential fire

Two men were reported hurt after a fire broke out in a residential area in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City on Monday, June 5. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the victims as Victor Takiki, 39, who sustained second degree burns on his left and right arms and legs; and Enrique Nicomendez, 33, who got an electric shock and was rushed to a hospital for medical attention BFP said the fire was raised to first alarm at around 4:50 p.m. It was declared under control 5:53 p.m. and was extinguished at around 6:02 p.m. Probers said around 15 houses were affected by the fire while the cost of damage to property is yet to be determined. Authorities are still investigating the cause of fire.
