Triple Giga thwart Braves for spot in Serbia 3x3 finals
The TNT Triple Giga crowned themselves as the Red Bull Half Court kings and took away the ticket for the Grand Finals in Serbia after escaping the Cavitex Braves, 21-20, on Saturday, June 3, at the Taguig Community Center.

Triple Giga guard Almond Vosotros displayed his usual heroic form as he spearheaded the team in crunchtime against Jorey Napoles and Tonino Gonzaga, who both shouldered the offense for the hard-fighting Braves.
TNT was down 12-9 earlier in the game thanks to a couple of two-pointers by Gonzaga, but Vosotros quickly shifted the pace with his six straight points off a layup plus a foul and back-to-back long shots to take a 16-14 lead.
After Cavitex turned the tables and made it 18-16, Gryann Mendoza evened the score to 18 apiece then Vosotros pulled up for a deuce to build a two-point margin. Not to be deterred, Gonzaga answered again with a two-pointer and tied the game to 20 all.
Vosotros, a veteran in the PBA 3x3 circuit, missed an attempt from beyond the arc but got the offensive board and drove to the basket for a layup to conclude the match with 2:11 seconds remaining, winning the title for TNT and a trip to Belgrade, Serbia.
Vosotros scored 11 points, Lervin Flores had six points while Mendoza and Ping Exciminiano added two apiece.
The Braves were anchored by Napoles who registered 12 points, while Gonzaga had seven. (
