NAGA CITY, Camarines Sur – A total of 18 super health centers will be constructed in Camarines Sur, Sen. Bong Go said on Saturday, June 3.
Go said that 43 out of the 629 super health centers that will be built nationwide in two years will be in Bicol.

He added 20 super health centers are expected to be constructed for the year 2022 and 23 in 2023 for Bicol alone.
To be exact, 307 sa year 2022 at sa year 2023, kasama na po dyan ang 18," Go, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, said during the groundbreaking ceremony of the first super health center in Bicol in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña, Naga City, Camarines Sur.
A super health center is a medium type polyclinic that offers services like birthing facility, dental, and X-ray services.
Go, guest speaker during the Bicol Social Media Summit organized by Bicol Press Club at The Tent, Avenue Plaza Hotel in Naga City, said that super health centers seek to bring medical services closer to the community.
Kasi ‘yung iba ayaw kasi napakalayo ng mga health centers," Go said.
These super health centers will be constructed in strategic places all over the Philippines while the Department of Health (DOH) will determine if an LGU is capable of running their operation.
Go added that P10 million has been allocated for the construction and purchase of equipment for each super health center.
