Gemao and Rota, who recently saw action in the 2023 Smart-NBTC National Finals, will get a rare chance of showcasing their skills in front of international coaches and scouts from the NBA in a camp that is taking place at the New York University.

The two of the country's top highschool prospects are going to be tested as they face high school players from more than 20 countries across Asia and the Middle East.

Also in the camp are NBA players like Taj Gibson, Saddiq Bey, and Monte Morris, who will give fundamental training for the young dribblers.

Several Filipino collegiate superstars joined the previous edition, including Kai Sotto, Forthsky Padrigao, Caelum Harris, LA John Andres, Quin Dela Rosa and Jared Bahay.

Started in 2001, the Basketball Without Borders (BWB) is part of the NBA and FIBA program to merge elite basketball players outside the US to share in-depth knowledge in basketball and valuable life lessons. (MARK MONTEJO)
