Olivarez said the school bags and supplies are gifts of the city government to children who will be entering elementary school in the incoming school year. He said the bags distributed to children contain school supplies like crayons, pencils, artbooks and textbooks. The mayor served as the keynote speaker at the moving-up ceremonies for students from eight development centers at the Multinational Village covered court and four centers in Clinic Ville covered court in Barangay BF Homes. Olivarez told the graduates to prepare as they have a long way to go to finish their studies.  He also said the moving-up ceremony should inspire the students to aim high in their studies for a better future. The mayor also thanked the teachers for their support and perseverance in teaching the students how to read, write, and count in preparation for the next chapter of their studies. Olivarez also announced that the city government will continue to support the students through programs aimed at promoting high quality education in the city.
