THE Iloilo City Stroke Rehabilitation Center is set to open in the third quarter this year. (Iloilo City PIO) "This is to help stroke patients relearn skills, restore daily function, and improve overall health through range-of-motion activities,” said Dr. Annabelle Tang, chief of the Iloilo City Health Office (ICHO). The ICHO aims to make the Iloilo City Stroke Rehabilitation Center Barangay Taal in Molo District operational by the end of the third quarter this year. “Ilonggos in need of stroke rehabilitation therapy normally pay at least P800 per session. Thus, this would offset that cost and reduce their medical expenses. Those who can avail of free rehab are bona fide residents of lloilo City and indigents,” said Tang. Tang noted that the Iloilo City Stroke Rehabilitation Center is another priority health program of Mayor Jerry Treñas. The Treñas administration has opened dialysis centers, animal bite centers, medical testing laboratories, and bigger health centers.
