Elderly man shot dead in Zamboanga del Norte

ZAMBOANGA CITY â€“ A 77-year-old man was shot dead by riding-in-tandem assailants in the municipality of Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte province on Thursday, June 29. Police Regional Office-9 Information Officer Police Major Shellamie Chang identified the victim as James Torino Tagapan, a resident of Upper Gumay, municipality of PiÃ±an. Chang said Tagapan was riding his motorcycle in Barangay Tuburan when motorcycle-riding suspects tailed him and shot him in the head. Tagapan died on the spot. Mutia police are still investigating the incident.
