DSWD delivers additional food packs to Mayon-affected LGUs in Bicol
Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Friday, June 30 ordered the Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) to increase the supply of family food packs (FFPs) in DSWD warehouses in Bicol for distribution to the Mayon-affected families in the region.
“We have to make sure that we finish the delivery of family food packs ration to all local government units good for 15 days of supply. You have to give it to them before July 2,” Gatchalian said in his directive to DSWD-Field Office V Regional Director Norman Laurio.
The second wave of food pack distribution for the local government units will span the 15-day period from July 2 to July 17, which is part of the 90-day relief effort for families affected by the volcanic activity.
