According to DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, the road upgrade includes the 957.3-meter segment from Barangay Poblacion to Barangay Malapit and the 1.9-kilometer segment from Barangay San Roque to Barangay Sto. Cristo, both in the municipality of San Isidro.

On the other hand, in Daang Maharlika in Gapan City, the road upgrade includes a 1.7-kilometer segment from Barangay Sto. Cristo Norte to Barangay Bayanihan and the 1.14-kilometer section in Barangay Bayanihan and Barangay San Vicente.

The completed projects cost P254.95 million and were funded under the DPWH’s Asset Preservation Program from the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“The completion of these asphalt overlay projects reflects our commitment to continuously improve existing road infrastructure to benefit motorists and residents in both rural and highly urbanized areas in the country,” DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan said. (Nicole Magmanlac)
