CEBU CITY – A 37-year-old American was arrested after he was allegedly caught stealing faucets from a mall in Barangay Talamban here on Thursday, June 29.

Police said three pieces of faucets worth P9,989 were recovered from Jeremiah Michael Stevenson, a native of Los Angeles, California.
Police said the American has been renting a place in Barangay Luz, this city.
Police investigation showed that security guards of Gaisano Grand Mall saw the American leaving the mall without paying for the items that he took from the mall.
When checked outside the mall, the security found the unpaid faucets from the American’s possession, police said.
The foreigner was then brought to the police station.
Police Major Janelito Marquez, chief of the Talamban police, said they later discovered that the American was previously arrested also for theft.
Marquez said they will coordinate with the US Embassy for the possible deportation of the foreigner.
