3 men arrested in Malate drug sting

Three men were arrested by Manila Police District (MPD)-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) operatives during a buy-bust in Malate, Manila on Thursday, June 29. The Malate Police Station (PS9) identified the suspects as Alexander Tejada, 23; Alexis Valdez, 43; and Jonathan Ebajay, 47, seaman. According to PS9, the suspects were collared on Dominga Street in Malate around 7:50 p.m. Recovered from the suspects were three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 3 grams grams of "shabu" worth P24,400, a gray Toyota Vios, and a P500 bill. Police said the suspects are temporarily being held at the PS9 custodial facility. They will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022. *(Richielyn Canlas)*
