Around P480,000 worth of school and office supplies were reportedly damaged in a fire that gutted a general merchandise store on Recto Avenue in Binondo, Manila on Saturday, June 3.
The blaze allegedly started on the 3rd floor of Pam Building, 864 Sun City on Claro M. Recto Avenue corner Sto. Cristo Street.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was raised to first alarm at 10:30 a.m. and to second alarm at 10:49 a.m.
The fire was put under control at 11:45 a.m. and was extingished at 12:27 p.m.
Based on the report of the Manila Police District (MPD), there were no other establishments affected.
It also said no injuries were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, authorities said. (Richielyn Canlas)
