Pasig LGU gets P2.5 M from PSC for winning 2nd place in 2022 'Batang Pinoy' games
As a reward for Pasig's sports delegation ranking second place in the 2022 Batang Pinoy National Championship, the city government received a cheque worth P2,500,000 from the Philippine Sports Commission (PCS).
The PSC shared that the reward was given as a cash incentive for the local government in support of the city's efforts to improve its grassroots sports programs, and continue nurturing youth athletes.

PSC Chairman Richard Bachmann formally turned over the financial reward on Friday, June 2, at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila. Officials of the city's Sports Development Program namely SP head Nana Alonso, SP staff Mary Ann Toledo and coach Carla Grabador, along with Executive Assistant-V Rechie Tugawin received the cheque on behalf of the local government. The teams excelled in the fields of archery (five gold medals, two silver, and one bronze); arnis (one gold, one silver, and one bronze); athletics (two gold and one silver); chess (six gold, three silver, and five bronze); dance sport (one gold); karatedo (two gold, two silver, and one bronze); muay thai (two gold and four bronze); swimming (two gold and one silver); taekwondo (one gold, one silver, and two bronze), and table tennis (one gold). When the delegation won, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and Vice Mayor Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr. expressed their elation and gratitude to their athletes and coaches for their exemplary performances. The mayor and vice mayor vowed to strengthen the local sports program to truly hone the skills of the youth.
