Pasig City Council reviews 2024 Annual Investment Program
After weeks of meetings, consultations, and workshops with varying departments and offices of the local government and civil society organizations (CSOs), the 2024 Annual Investment Program (AIP) is finally under review by the Pasig City Council.
The Committee on Appropriations, Ways, and Means, led by Councilor Maro Martires, began the marathon hearings for the AIP on Thursday, June 1, and will continue until Monday, June 5.

These sessions aim to thoroughly assess and further refine the projects, programs, and activities (PPAs) agreed upon by stakeholders in the current draft of the AIP, which was previously [endorsed by the City Development Council through Resolution No. 3, series of 2023.](https://mb.com.ph/2023/5/24/pasig-city-development-council-approves-2024-investment-plan-1) The 2024 AIP, once passed, will be referred to as Resolution No. 278-2023 or “A Resolution Adopting the Annual Investment Program of the City Government of Pasig Covering from January 1 - December 31, 2024.”

Once the resolution is approved through the city council and signed by the mayor, the PPAs in the AIP will be implemented in 2024. Similar to the creation of the draft AIP, the hearings were conducted per sector (health, infrastructure, education, environment, economy, etc) to ensure equitable discussions on the issues, concerns, goals, objectives, and solutions for each sector. The Local Finance Committee (LFC) also presented the 2022 Fund Utilization Report of the local government in order to contextualize the accomplishments made in 2022, as well as the target goals for the PPAs for 2024.
