Mayor Sandoval extends help to Malabon City fire victims

* Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval on Friday, June 2, spearheaded the distribution of assistance to the families affected by the fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Muzon, Malabon City on Thursday, June 1. Mayor Jeannie, along with her husband, Rep. Ricky Sandoval, the Malabon City Welfare Development Department (CWDD), City Health Office, and Malabon City Disaster Risk and Management Office (MDRRMO) visited the evacuees who are temporarily staying at Macubang Court, Barangay Muzon, Malabon City. A total of 36 families and 155 individuals were reportedly affected by the fire incident. The victims received food packs, woven mats (banig) and blankets, hygiene kits, baby diapers, and other non-food essentials. According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire in Barangay Muzon occurred at 10:29 p.m. and has reached the first alarm at 10:44 p.m. The second alarm was raised at 10:49 p.m. and was declared fire out at 11:29 p.m. A resident was injured during the inferno.
