234 fisherfolk receive 1 M tilapia fingerlings from BFAR

The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) 2 distributed one million tilapia fingerlings as recovery assistance to fisherfolk in Quirino and Isabela affected by typhoons. Beneficiaries were 234 fisherfolk from the municipalities of Santa Maria, Cabagan, Gamu, San Mariano, Echague, Cabatuan, San Mateo, Angadanan, Ramon, Alicia, Jones, Aurora, Roxas, San Manuel, Luna, and City of Ilagan, Isabela, and the landlocked municipalities of Maddela, Aglipay and Cabarroguis, Quirino. The Provincial Fishery Office of Isabela and Quirino and local government units facilitated the dispersal activity.
