BAGUIO CITY – A taxi driver listed as a high-value drug personality was arrested by the Baguio City police and personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation at his rented house in Middle Quezon Hill here on Tuesday, June 27.
The suspect was identified as Romer Marquez Ramos, 38, and believed to be a member of a drug group.
Recovered from the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately four grams with an estimated value of P27,200, tooter containing liquid traces of suspected shabu, buy-bust money, cash in different denominations totaling P6,030, driver's license card, and a cellphone.
The marking and inventory of the confiscated pieces of evidence were conducted on-site in the presence of the suspect and duly witnessed by a representative from the Department of Justice and a barangay official.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
