* Operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) and District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) confiscated P2.5 million worth of “shabu” and arrested four suspects in two separate buy-bust operations in Quezon City on Wednesday, June 28. Maj. Hector Ortencio, DDEU chief, identified the arrested suspect as Ralph Jhon Clements, 28, of Novaliches, Quezon City. He was arrested at Metro Green Village, Brgy. San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City at around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28. The operatives of DDEU conducted a buy-bust operation after a concerned citizen reported to them regarding the illegal drug activities of the suspect in the area. A police officer posed as a buyer and successfully bought P40,000 worth of "shabu'' from Clements which led to his arrest. They confiscated 325 grams of “shabu” from the suspect with a street value of P2,210,000, a brown eco bag, a cellular phone, a motorcycle, and the buy-bust money. Meanwhile, Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) operatives initiated a buy-bust operation which resulted in the arrest of three suspects along Annapolis St., near the corner of Ermin Garcia Avenue, Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Quezon City around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The suspects were identified as Paolo Bien Nash, 35, of Brgy. E. Rodriguez; Richard Bayot Bactol, 30, of Brgy. Kalusugan; and Arvin Torres, 47, of Brgy. Holy Spirit. Confiscated from them were around 50 grams of “shabu” worth P340,000, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money. The arrested suspects are currently under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 1965 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
