The Pasig City Police has recovered over P900,000 worth of shabu from a High Value Individual (HVI) wanted for illegal drugs following a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, June 28, the Eastern Police District (EPD) reported.
The HVI is identified as "Romaly", 37-years-old, and a resident of Barangay Santolan, Pasig City.
The police said that operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) conducted the buy-bust operation on Gabriel St. Barangay Santolan after a series of surveillance operations in the area pinpointed the exact location of the suspect.
Upon his arrest, the operatives recovered three plastic sachets containing shabu with a total estimated weight of more or less 135 grams and a standard drug price of P918,000.00.
Romaldy and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the police station for the filing of appropriate charges and were subsequently referred to the EPD-Forensic Unit, Mandaluyong City for drug test and laboratory examination.
The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 Art. II of R.A. No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Gideon Ines Jr. for another milestone in our war against illegal drugs within our area of responsibility. I also urge the general public to be vigilant and be our active partners in the fight against all forms of lawlessness and criminality in the city," Pasig City Police Chief Col. Celerino Sacro said.
