Minor collared for stabbing neighbor in Tanza, Cavite
CAVITE – Authorities apprehended a 17-year-old male for allegedly stabbing his 18-year-old neighbor in Tanza.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the child in conflict with the law (CICL) as alias Janjan.
Tanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) Deputy Chief of Police Capt. Melvin Aporongao told the Manila Bulletin that alias Janjan got into a heated argument with the victim, which led to a fistfight.
During the altercation, alias Janjan drew out a multi-purpose knife and reportedly stabbed the victim in the nape and back.
The victim, identified as Heidrian M. Alvez, was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
Aporongao said alias Janjan will undergo inquest proceedings and is set to be turned over to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
