Chinese national arrested for detaining fellow citizen in Pasay City

A Chinese man who allegedly detained a fellow citizen was arrested by operatives of the Pasay Police Station Intelligence Section (SIS) during a follow-up operation on Wednesday, June 28. Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspect as Zhang Long, 24. Uy said the suspect was arrested at around 6:00 a.m. at Room 8A Winston Hotel in Malibay, Pasay City. He said a complainant sought police assistance, claiming a Chinese national was illegally detained inside the hotel. Upon receiving the report, the SIS operatives immediately formed a team to conduct a rescue operation. Uy said the suspect was arrested after the report was confirmed. He said the suspect was brought and detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest.
